Delete Your Data

For the Android app PingMeThere (package com.pingmethere.app), published by the developer PingMeThere.

Last updated: August 2026

The short version

There is no account to delete, because PingMeThere never creates one. Your pins, notes, locations and alert history exist only on your phone, and you delete them yourself from inside the app or by uninstalling it. The single piece of data held outside your device is a purchase record, and only if you bought PRO. You can have that deleted by sending one email.

1. Data stored on your device

This is everything the app creates while you use it. None of it is uploaded, so no request to us is needed — and no request to us could reach it.

  • Pins, their coordinates, radius, trigger settings and schedules
  • Notes and shopping lists attached to pins
  • Saved locations and favourites
  • Alert history and logs
  • App settings such as language, theme and sounds

How to delete it

  1. Delete individual items in the app. Open PingMeThere, go to Alerts, swipe or long-press an alert and choose Delete. Saved locations are removed the same way from the Search → Saved tab. The alert history is cleared with Alerts → History → Clear Logs.
  2. Delete everything at once. On your phone, open Settings → Apps → PingMeThere → Storage and tap Clear storage (on some phones Clear data). This erases all pins, notes, history and settings immediately.
  3. Or uninstall the app. Long-press the PingMeThere icon and choose Uninstall. Android removes the app’s entire local storage with it.

This cannot be undone. Because there is no cloud backup and no server copy, neither you nor we can recover deleted pins or history afterwards.

2. Data stored outside your device

If — and only if — you purchased PRO, a purchase record is held by our payment infrastructure provider, RevenueCat, so the app can verify your purchase and restore it after a reinstall.

HeldNot held
A randomly generated, pseudonymous app identifier; the purchase receipt and its date; the country derived from the network requestYour name, email address or payment card details; any location, pin, note or alert history

How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to pingmetheregpsnotification@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request”.
  2. In the message, include the Google Play order ID of your purchase. You can find it in the receipt email from Google Play, or at play.google.com/store/account under your order history. It is the only way we can locate the right record, since we hold no name or email.
  3. We confirm and delete the record within 30 days, and in practice within a few business days. You will receive a reply confirming the deletion.

Deleting this record removes your ability to restore PRO. If you later reinstall the app on a new device, Restore purchaseswill no longer find your purchase. If you only want to stop using the app, uninstalling it is enough — the purchase record stays valid and restorable.

3. What is retained, and for how long

PingMeThere has no accounts. There is no registration, no login and no user profile to delete, so there is no account deletion step. This page covers everything there is.
